Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Your account — the email address you sign up with. We do not use passwords; you sign in with a one-time code sent to your email.
• Your profile — your username, display name, and anything you choose to add: a bio, an avatar, and header images.
• What you create and save — the guides and lists you build, the places you save, private notes on those saves, dishes you log, and who you follow.
• Notification preferences — if you turn on push notifications, we store the subscription your browser gives us so we can deliver them.
• Basic technical data — standard request logs (such as IP address and browser type) that any web service receives, used to keep the service running and secure.
• Approximate city— when you open place search, MonitorOnce may use Cloudflare's visitor-location header to suggest your city. This lookup returns that city with its state or region and its country, so the suggestion points at the right place rather than a same-named one elsewhere. It does not return coordinates or store your raw IP for this feature. We request precise location only if you choose Use my location.

How we use it

• To run Cultronce and show you your guides, saves, and feed.
• To sign you in, by emailing you a one-time login code.
• To show your content to the audience you choose — public, followers only, or just you.
• To send notifications you have opted into, and only those.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not run third-party advertising.

Who we share it with

We use a small set of service providers to operate Cultronce. They only receive what they need to do their job:

• Email delivery — to send your login codes.
• Google Places — when you search for a place, your search text is sent to Google to return matching results. Place details and photos come from Google.
• MonitorOnce and Cloudflare — to provide the optional city suggestion described above, without requesting precise browser location.
• Cloud storage — images you upload (avatars, guide art) are stored with our hosting and storage providers.
• AI drafting — if you paste text to auto-draft a guide, that text is sent to our AI provider to extract the places. We do not send your private notes.
• Push delivery— if you enable notifications, your browser's push service (operated by your browser vendor) delivers them.

Your visibility and controls

• Each guide is public, followers-only, or private — you decide, and can change it.
• Private notes stay private. Notes you attach to a saved place are never shown to anyone else, even on public guides.
• You can make your whole account private, so only followers you accept see your content.
• You can block another person, which hides your profiles from each other.
• You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account. This removes your profile, follows, and saved data.

Cookies

We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in and to protect against cross-site request forgery. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Children

Cultronce is not directed to children under 13, and you must be at least 13 to use it.
